watch We might have heard from our parents and grandparents that the world is not as it was 20 years ago. This very sentence seemed to have been cliché in the present. But what we can do. There has been so many environmental changes occurring in the recent past. Global warming, soil erosion, land degradation, shortage of rains, drought etc. earthquakes, landslide, tsunami seem to have become an annual event. But all of these so called natural disasters are all not occurring naturally, they have been aggravated by man itself.
buy Lyrica Pregabalin For example in India, due to extreme deforestation, the forest cover has gone down a 19.07%, but as per as the international average it is 33%. As the country’s forest cover has declined gradually and it way behind the required percentage. This is why in India, in recent times, Maharashtra has suffered due to drought and acute water scarcity. Just due to lack of concern for maintaining the ecological balance. Also the Kedarnath floods that had brought on end to the line of so many people is one of the notable disaster to have occurred in the recent past.
There are 3 main causes:
•Accumulation of resources in the hands of a limited number of people which has widened the gap between the rich and the poor.
•Depletion of resources at a great extent.
•Over utilization of resources by human beings at a rapid rate.
So we cannot let this continue to happen. For the development of country, one definitely needs to construct building the forest canvas and other open areas. This is necessary. However as the population increases the used for settlement building also increases. Hence our must practice sustainable development. The development shall not compromise the needs of the future generation to come. Also the rate of utilization should not be greater than the rate of generation. However there should be development of eco-friendly technology and utilization of non-conventional source of energy. Moreover there should be practise of controlled afforestation i.e. making up for the open green patches that have been deforested through construction.
If we as a part of the responsible citizen of the country abide by the statement and stop the indiscriminate destruction of open areas and green-patches then only we can progress towards being a developed nation.
