They set out when James showed him the house. Edward noted down everything in the back of his mind. A two-storey house quite old-fashioned. It had about 14 windows in all. In front stood an oak door. It had been worn away by the rain and termites. There was a ring at the middle of the door. There were also some eye holes to spy out on visitors. A dog is laid down in front of the door. Edward stepped up near the door and clicked twice with the ring. Suddenly the dog jumped up violently. Edward took a step back. The door got suddenly open and a whip cracked like lightening. The dog with head and tail down retreated into the house. A smiling stout man of forty stood there with the lash. He was almost as tall as Edward. He gestured them inside. Edward entered into the house drinking in the fact that how well maintained the inside was. No one could say that they belonged to the same house. The man said, “Hello, I’m Timothy Brown, the servant of Mr. Hay. Please wait here, I’ll call him. He is expecting you.” They took the arm-chairs. it was so soft that they slowly sank. They looked at the eloquent furniture. It was modern inside. He say a small button on the arms of the chair. On clicking, a bell started ringing.
“Ah, you see ” suddenly a loud voice pang out, “they are for the servant, It is used when I feel to lazy to shout.” They turned around to see a small, fat man with pitch black hair wearing suits, a diamond studded watch and a ring. He waddled like penguin while walking. He somehow reached them and jumped into the seat huffing and puffing. After deeply breathing he put on a smile and said, ” Hello Mr. Hodge, I’m Mr. Hay. As you can see, I am very rich. But I think, some international criminal is after me.”
“Why do you think so”, asked Edward. “I got to know by this”, he handed a paper to Hodge”. On it was written

E E N U A U L V O I
A R G S N R T E V L

Edward looked at it. He said “How do you know it is an international gang?”
“The stamp on the other side.” Edward turned over. It was the official stamp of Germany. “We will look into it”, he said.

Poem by a little girl Nouloshi Ghosh
Who is the one with a good charm,
And doesn’t want me to get any harm?
Who is the one with a loving tender soul,
Who is loved like a never
leaving favourite object or more.
And that is my mother of course
Who is always deserved for these lovely compliments on cources.
A mother is a first prize winner from my thinking,
When we get into the same way she spills out her happiness tears by blinking
A mother is always grown up to be a perfect lady
When she is a school going girl.
Who faces hard work and grows up with intelligence and hurdle and even brilliant work,
And even understands problems or worries of the boys or a girl from the core of her heart.
She even understands the girl or a boy with patience, curiosity and egarness.
I went to watch a magic show.
Came a magician on the stage.
He spread his palm and produced a dough
Beside him stood an elderly sage
They said ‘Abracadabra’
I went to watch a magic show
The sage sat on the carpet
I heard someone say ‘LO’ !
Out came Snakey, his pet
He said ‘Abracadabra’
I returned with a happy smile
Everyone was chattering
I tapped the dial
When I said these,
He said I was exaggerating

A sweet poem by Dohinee Malakar
With all the animals in it
From a brave lion
With a great beard
To a deer
With long hair
I also have
One Little bear
Who plays around everywhere
This is not a jungle
This is my family
Who are very humble
I have a father
Who is brave
Have a mother
Who is like a jewel
I have a brother
Who is sometimes like my father
I have a puppy
Who is very happy
This is my family
For whom I care
