On 13th February, Saturday, we went to Mandarmani. We were accompanied by family of my three friends – Shomudro, Dohinee and Atrisekhar. While going we lost our way. We looked for the way for hours. Finally, we found our friends waiting for us. In the meantime, while playing, accidentally Shomudro injured himself.
We stayed in a hotel named Marino Beach Resort for 2 days and 1 night. We booked 3 rooms. After reaching our hotel, went to our rooms, changed our clothes and went to the sea. On our way, we found a treasure, buried under the sands of the beach. We had fun splashing in the sea. We went back to our rooms. In the evening, we saw the sunset sitting by the sea beach. When it was dark we had a barbecue in the garden. All of us enjoyed and took part in he music that was played there. We played many games like kabbadi, fooball, badminton in the flood-light of the hotel. We invented a game which I named “slow-haating” (slow-walking).
The next morning we played with two rabbits. I named them Raju and Kaju. We played football again. After we had our breakfast, we went to the sea again. We jumped over the waves. I chopped the waves imagining them as a mischievous giant. Dohinee and I enjoyed floating in the water. Shomudro and Atrisekhar was splashing water at each other. We all had coconut water by the beach. Shomudro suddenly said that there was no “haansh” (duck) in the coconut. We all shouted “WHAT?” and then aunty (Shomudra’s mother) explained that it was “shaansh” (coconut meat) that he was talking about. Everyone loved the word “haansh inside coconut”. After having great time in the sea, we had our lunch and started back home. On our way back, we had snacks in a restaurant. It was a lovely trip and I will cherish it throughout my life. We will go back to Mandermani and hunt the treasure which we have marked.
Last Sunday, I went to a picnic with my family and friends. It was a place called Kanak Garden. We went there in our own car.
On the way we picked up one of our friend and his family. When we reached there, everyone had already started to play. We joined them in the middle of the game. We played cricket and my team won. In the middle of the game, my mother forced me to have my breakfast. We had puri, sabzi and jelebi. We then made two teams. One team was of few dads and another team was with my friends. We played football. The game ended without any goal. After that I played a new game called ‘Housie’. I even won a ten rupees prize.
Then our dad’s began to lay the tables for our lunch. We had our lunch together. When our parents were having lunch, some of us clicked pictures of them and few served them. After lunch, as our parents were not allowing us to play cricket or football or badminton, we started playing hit the wicket. I was able to hit the wicket three times. Slowly it stated to get dark. We all said goodbye to each other and returned home.
This is the first time I went to such a picnic. I enjoyed it very much.
One day I went to meet my friends. Their names were Bippo, the hippopotamus, Bagra, the panther, Bichu, the giraffe, Halwa, the elephant and Balla, the monkey. I played with them every evening. I liked hide & seek the most. One day Bagra drew the best in school. He scratched the stone a little on which he had drawn. His scratching had made an awful sound. When we returned home Bagra’s father uncle Diego visited us. He liked our den. My father Sher Khan was very happy to see Uncle Diego. Uncle Diego gave me his two long teeth and said, “use this to protect yourself from enemies.”
The following day i was roaming around the forest in search of prey. After sometime I didnot realize and suddenly i was caught in a cage. I tried all day to free myself. Then I heard the elephant’s parade going. I called my friend Halwa. He came with his family and friends and freed me with his trunk.
I tried to get back home. But I could not find my way home,
as it was very dark inside the deep forest.
I was so confused that I could not tell which path led where.
I heard an owl was hooting some where near by.
I became very scared. Suddenly, I saw something glowing beside me. So, I became more scared. Sweat came down through my body. I tried to escape, so i started running. After few moments I reached near the banks of a river. I looked up and saw the stars twinkling in the night sky.
Then I heard a roar. Then i again saw something was glowing beside me. So I closed my eyes. Something touched me and I was about to run again. Then I realized that it was my father who was looking for me quite anxiously. At last I went home happily.
As I found the diamond ring, everyone was asking to solve more cases. This time when I was studying in my room someone shot a toy arrow in my room. I looked down the window and saw a man standing behind the tree opposite our house. In a paper attached to the toy arrow was written “MY BIKE HAD BEEN ROBBED AT NIGHT. WE CALLED THE POLICE BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING.” I threw a paper back to him were I wrote “OK”.
That day when I was roaming around the neighbourhood, I saw a glove lying behind a bush. But I thought that the thief had gone a long way off by now. I looked at the left and saw a broken house. I entered the house like a snake without making any sound. I saw no one and nothing suspicious. I went out. I went to houses of that neighbourhood. I couldnot find anything. After coming out from the last house i saw a large area with lot of trees. I went there hiding behind trees so that no one can see me.
Suddenly, I saw a man standing with a bike and was looking here and there. I went hiding behind a tree near him. When he was putting no attention that somebody could attack him, I jumped and caught his legs like this. I had a fight with him and hurt my leg. I took him to the police. They thanked me once again for catching the thief. They said “Well done, Little Detective”. My mother was angry with me as I hurt myself but she was also very happy as I caught the thief.
As I was crossing the road, I saw a crowd was discussing something. I went to them and asked what they were discussing about. One of them said, “A Diamond ring has been lost. We want it. Can you help us?” I said “yes’ because this was the chance to become a detective. My wish was I should get a chance to become a detective and this was my chance. I roamed everywhere in the city, Delhi to find a clue. After few hours I found the first clue, “a glass”. I took a long paper and wrote this
Now 6 clues were left to be found. Then I found a footprint. I wrote this as my second clue. It was getting dark, so i thought that I would find last five clues later. Next morning after school, I changed my dress and set out to find clues. Like this twenty more days went. On the twenty-first day I found enough clues to catch the thief. I went home. I throughly checked the clues that i have gathered, there was nothing of any person. I searched them again. This time in a handkerchief I found something on it. There was written “IF YOU CANNOT FIND WHO HAD ROBBED THE DIAMOND RING IN TWENTY FOUR DAY THEN YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT. HA! HA! HA!” then a picture of a diamond ring.
Then I set out to find him. It was the twenty-third day. I found someone was hiding behind a house. I went infront of the house and also hid there. The thief was trying to escape because the police was after him. I ran after him and caught him red handed. He was Mr. Chakarvorty in disguise. I took him to police officer. He thanked me. I was very happy. I rushed to my house and said to my parents what had happened. They were very proud of me. The next day I said it to my friends, they were very very much excited to hear it. From then everybody started calling me “LITTLE DETECTIVE”.
One day three friends got stuck in an empty house due to heavy rainfall. They were on their way to school. There was a flood on the road. The three friends were shivering in cold. They were hungry too. They wrote something in their diary. Then they spelt these words. They tore the paper and made paper aeroplane and sent out. It flew to someone’s hand. He opened the paper. He was suprised the most. He ran to their house and said “come out of the house as you are wearing waterproof shoes”. They came out one by one holding the man’s hand and thanked him.
It is a story of “Anger’, ‘Joy’, ‘Sadness’, ‘Fear’, ‘Disgust’ living inside us. They can see the world outside and controls us. One day Joy and Sadness got lost in long term memories. Now, as Joy and Sadness was gone, Anger, Fear and Disgust were controlling a girl called Riley. Then the problem began. Anger was breaking down all the islands in Riley’s mind. Then Joy and Sadness came back to their headquarters after making some adventures. Atlast when they reached the problem was solved. Riley once again started to live with her family happily. A must watch movie.
There was a boy called Sam. He was 8 years old. He lived in a village. Sam always helped the farmers. Everybody liked him and said that he was a good boy. One day he was going to work, when he met a mad man called Raju. Raju said to him “I will take you to a fair”. Sam did not know he was a mad man and followed him. Raju took him to his house and locked him into a cage. Sam cried “Mother….. Father…..”. His mother heard him. She took Sam out of the cage. When Raju returned to his house at night there was police waiting for him. They locked him into the jail. Sam and his mother and father lived happily ever after.
When we went to Darjeeling, we went for a ride on the Toy Train from Ghum Station. This station is famous for it’s height. It was a wonderful ride. The Toy Train had a steam engine at the front. It had 2 bogies from the steam engine. I was full of joy and happiness after the ride. I came to know that this train was closed for 5 years and from 11th June 2015 it again started it’s journey from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling. It is the Unesco World Heritage train. The scenary along it’s route is spectacular. It passes through Batasia loop. At Batasia loop there is a beautiful garden where the train stops for a while. It is one of the tourist attraction of West Bengal. – Soumil, 8 years
A 15 min shower brought a smile to pockets of Kolkata on Thursday afternoon. I saw floods of rain grumbling down. My parents held up the umbrella on the way. We were going to mom’s office. But the rain did not last long. The temperature was hot again. Soumil, 8 years
