He went inside a beautiful food court. Every food is for him even the heaven was very beautiful. There were beautiful flowers, silver palaces, golden palaces etc. and he also found many tasty dearly food for his families. Then he reached back home.
Next day he got a scolding from his family for day dreaming and he never saw that elephant again.
During the Second World War the British government built several Fortress islands in the North Sea to defend its coasts from German invaders. These forts were built illegally in international waters. The famous royal fort Roughs Tower situated slightly north of the Thames river and approximately at a distance of 7 nautical miles from the coast. That was more a distance of 3 mile range of territorial distance as per the then applicable law which in turn made it situated in the international waters of the North sea.
In the early 1950 the fort was abandoned to comply with the international law and then after in 1966 Roy Bates a former infantry major in the first battalion Royal Fusiliers decided to take over the fortress.
2nd September 1967, Roy declared The Principality of Sealand raising a newly designed flag and titled his wife “Princess Joan” along with his son Michael (14), daughter Penelope (16) and several friends and followers.
Sealand is not recognized by the other countries and In 1987, the UK extended its territorial waters from three to twelve miles. Sealand now sits inside waters that Britain claims as its territory though Michael Bates claims himself to be the prince of Sealand and they have their own stamps, national anthem, money, flag, and more things just like a real country.
Sealand is also granting titles like Lord, Lady, Baron or Baroness. You need to pay as low as £29.99 to become a Lord or Lady and also paying £19.99 can own a piece of Sealand territory. To own the title Count or Countess, one has to pay only £199.99.
Charity football match was also sometimes organised to raise money for good cause. One of such occasions when Fulham All Stars V Sealand All Stars match was organised.
Interestingly, At the beginning of 2007, the Bates put an ad in the newspaper. They would like to sell Sealand for 65 million pounds.
Richardson was walking in a sunny day. While walking he saw a line. It was for bungee, his favourite sport. He paid a ticket and went inside. After sometime, it was Richardson’s chance. A man tied a rope in Richardson’s leg. When he looked down, he saw a river because he was standing on a bridge. When he jumped, the rope broke! When he saw that he screamed ‘Ahhhh, Save me, Ahhh” and he fell into the river. He closed his eyes. The current took him in a place which he hardly knew. There were many mermaids. He claimed on an island to explore it. Richardson saw many funny little people. They were no bigger than three chilies put together. They were working in their garden. They had a mushroom like house. There was fresh air. The little people were scared by seeing Richardson. They started running. Richardson asked “Who are you? What is this place name? Answer me please, I am not going to hurt you” One of the men stopped, bowed to Richardson and said ‘Sir, this country’s name is Armello and island is Perf’ and walked away to his friend to tell that they could believe the giant (Richardson) everyone surrounded Richardson. Their king came and spoke to Richardson ‘hey you will have to get the golden giant to get back home. It is at the north.’ After this king’s speech, they ran out of the sight. Richardson started walking towards the north. After sometime, some ninjas like him appeared. He killed them by his karate skills. When he was near the golden giant appeared. Richardson couldn’t hit the samurai and he was badly bruised. In one hit of the samurai, he became unconscious. When he gained consciousness, he saw that he was going to be thrown in lava! Suddenly the door crashed (where the samurai could get inside the volcano opened. The opener were the once who aim to get the gold. They kicked the samurais so hard that they brokeof the volcano. Then they untied Richardson. Richardson ran off the volcano searching for the golden giant. The people stopped him and said ‘you have found the golden giant. This volcano is called golden giant. He came in the golden giant and ran out of it. Then he saw that he was on the bridge where he did bungee and his adventure had began while doing it. When the people saw him they were relieved. They took him home. He rested for a week. Somehow he had a nice adventure. He had a urge to do bungee again.
One day I was sleeping alone. Then I got one touch. I was thinking what is that, why I had got a touch? When I turned right I saw a robot! The robot was telling that what happened? Moving his hands right, left, up, down and bottom side. Actually it was a Bengali robot!
When I was asked it “will you be my friend?”, the robot said “yes! But if you listen to me then I will be your friend”. I told “yes. Why not, but I am not sure”. The robot tells that you had told yes and so you have to listen to me really. When I was going to my school after that I saw he was sitting next to me. He was going there, too. I requested it to go out of my school and go home. “Donot disturb me”. He told that I will not go and be with you. I told him okay but please be invisible if you be with me.
Then my daddy came from home, he saw I was talking with someone. He said that with whom are you talking? No one is there. The robot started telling something in my ear. My Daddy told that why are you doing like this. The robot was showing his blue hand. My daddy asked that, “what is this? Toy or a robot in your room?” I told yes papa, I am having a robot. He came away from my window. He told me okay and he went home.
Next day was Laxmi Puja. My robot had turned like my father. When I saw him I told him why have you done that? The robot told it is fine and I told “okay”. When I was sitting in Laxmi puja with my robot, father and friends was sitting with me too. When I was taking picture with my friends, the robot was hitting in my back. When the picture was taken I went to my room. Suddenly there was a push and I saw myself in bed.
Last Sunday, I went to a picnic with my family and friends. It was a place called Kanak Garden. We went there in our own car.
On the way we picked up one of our friend and his family. When we reached there, everyone had already started to play. We joined them in the middle of the game. We played cricket and my team won. In the middle of the game, my mother forced me to have my breakfast. We had puri, sabzi and jelebi. We then made two teams. One team was of few dads and another team was with my friends. We played football. The game ended without any goal. After that I played a new game called ‘Housie’. I even won a ten rupees prize.
Then our dad’s began to lay the tables for our lunch. We had our lunch together. When our parents were having lunch, some of us clicked pictures of them and few served them. After lunch, as our parents were not allowing us to play cricket or football or badminton, we started playing hit the wicket. I was able to hit the wicket three times. Slowly it stated to get dark. We all said goodbye to each other and returned home.
This is the first time I went to such a picnic. I enjoyed it very much.
One day I went to meet my friends. Their names were Bippo, the hippopotamus, Bagra, the panther, Bichu, the giraffe, Halwa, the elephant and Balla, the monkey. I played with them every evening. I liked hide & seek the most. One day Bagra drew the best in school. He scratched the stone a little on which he had drawn. His scratching had made an awful sound. When we returned home Bagra’s father uncle Diego visited us. He liked our den. My father Sher Khan was very happy to see Uncle Diego. Uncle Diego gave me his two long teeth and said, “use this to protect yourself from enemies.”
The following day i was roaming around the forest in search of prey. After sometime I didnot realize and suddenly i was caught in a cage. I tried all day to free myself. Then I heard the elephant’s parade going. I called my friend Halwa. He came with his family and friends and freed me with his trunk.
I tried to get back home. But I could not find my way home,
as it was very dark inside the deep forest.
I was so confused that I could not tell which path led where.
I heard an owl was hooting some where near by.
I became very scared. Suddenly, I saw something glowing beside me. So, I became more scared. Sweat came down through my body. I tried to escape, so i started running. After few moments I reached near the banks of a river. I looked up and saw the stars twinkling in the night sky.
Then I heard a roar. Then i again saw something was glowing beside me. So I closed my eyes. Something touched me and I was about to run again. Then I realized that it was my father who was looking for me quite anxiously. At last I went home happily.
2. Student- Adhiraj
3. Teacher- Shilpa Ma’am
Narrator– It is 15th of August and the independence day of India and the principal of the school delivered a very motivating and cheerful speech on Independence Day. Children with great enthusiasm made their independence day. There was one kid Adhiraj who was a little eccentric. He always thought something which was out of the box. He by reading novels and articles had a thought on what independence means to us. Let’s see what Adhiraj thinks………..
Adhiraj:- (sitting on a chair) Today principal ma’am gave a very enthusiastic speech but what does independence mean to us? Is it only getting freedom from British or is something else? I’ll talk to my social teacher regarding this let’s have her thoughts on this.
Narrator– Adhiraj goes to his social teacher and asks her about this…..
Adhiraj:- Ma’am, do you have a minute to talk?
Teacher:- Yes, yes Adhiraj ?
Adhiraj:- Ma’am I wanted to ask that what does independence mean to you?
Teacher:- For me, independence is the freedom of the soul, a perception of the mind and a feeling understood by the heart. This freedom, perception and more importantly, this feeling is that of liberation, patriotism, self-dependence and other such things.
Adhiraj:- But Ma’am I believe that India though called independent is independent only by definition. Problems like corruption, poverty, unemployment, terrorism, caste realted violence still exist in our nation.
Teacher:- But Adhiraj we need to understand the fact that we constitute our nation, it does not constitute us.
Adhiraj:- But Ma’am I strongly believe that Independence is not our right to express but our right to be heard. What fun is that people are speaking for the improvement of the nation but no one gives importance to it?
Teacher:- Independence is not what we feel, but what we make of it and most importantly, independence is not about rights, but our duties towards them.
Adhiraj:- Independence from my point of view is not only the sense of belonging, but a sense of contribution and existence in every step that our nation takes.
Teacher:- I agree to you Adhiraj. If your point of view becomes the point of view of the youth India would become a much better country.
Adhiraj:- Ma’am what do you think we can do about problems like corruption, poverty etc. ?
Teacher:- See we can always take out campaigns, make people aware about the harms of corruption and for poverty we can always donate money and things which are necessary for survival. We can always give ideas to the government for solving these problems. Your idea may get selected.
Adhiraj:- Will this make India a better country?
Teacher:- It surely will.
Adhiraj:- Thank you ma’am for your precious time.
Teacher:- No problem Adhiraj I found it a very fruitful debate.
Narrator– With such a lot of brainstorming over Independence and its importance in our lives, it is not difficult to believe that the youth are concerned about the issues of the nation, as long as they are given platforms. The need of today’s youth is to be heard, not passed off. The need of today’s youth is to be free, not restrained. The need of today’s youth is realization of values and not imposition. The need is not a need, but a want that must be satisfied.
As I found the diamond ring, everyone was asking to solve more cases. This time when I was studying in my room someone shot a toy arrow in my room. I looked down the window and saw a man standing behind the tree opposite our house. In a paper attached to the toy arrow was written “MY BIKE HAD BEEN ROBBED AT NIGHT. WE CALLED THE POLICE BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING.” I threw a paper back to him were I wrote “OK”.
That day when I was roaming around the neighbourhood, I saw a glove lying behind a bush. But I thought that the thief had gone a long way off by now. I looked at the left and saw a broken house. I entered the house like a snake without making any sound. I saw no one and nothing suspicious. I went out. I went to houses of that neighbourhood. I couldnot find anything. After coming out from the last house i saw a large area with lot of trees. I went there hiding behind trees so that no one can see me.
Suddenly, I saw a man standing with a bike and was looking here and there. I went hiding behind a tree near him. When he was putting no attention that somebody could attack him, I jumped and caught his legs like this. I had a fight with him and hurt my leg. I took him to the police. They thanked me once again for catching the thief. They said “Well done, Little Detective”. My mother was angry with me as I hurt myself but she was also very happy as I caught the thief.
It was a period of time when I found myself in a ship named “Piccadilly Daisy” sailing in the heart of the Atlantic. But that day there was a covering of fog and mist that settled in the atmosphere. Nothing could be seen correctly as the visibility was blurred. Even the navigator did not work that day for it did not receive any signal.
I tried my best to capture the nearby objects but the visibility did not permit me. Not being able to observe anything, I told my crew member John “Hey! I am going to the deck in order to have a clear view of the things. Can you manage here? “. He replied, “Yes, you go ahead”.
Even on reaching the deck, I could not make out anything. Where ever my eye sight went, it was only fog and mist. I then stooped down with half part of my body inclined outside the ship. To my astonishment I could experience some external force acting on me and I fell on the vast ocean.
Outside, the water was freezing due to excessive cold. My body temperature dropped to zero. I felt that my entire blood circulation has stopped.
Many a times I cried out “Help! Help! Help!”
But nobody was there to rescue. I could see the ship to sail by without even noticing my absence and it left me alone combating in such condition.
I faced several challenges to keep afloat in the ocean. The freezing cold water was the biggest challenge. Also I was simply oblivious of the direction because of the unclear visibility. It was extremely difficult to plan my next course of action.
Then suddenly I felt a loud thud and it was like something that hit my head. What I saw was unbelievable, I had fallen from my bed and my mother was shouting “You are getting late for school, wake up.” I thanked god that this was not real. Even if it was something of that sort, wouldn’t it be exciting?
As I was crossing the road, I saw a crowd was discussing something. I went to them and asked what they were discussing about. One of them said, “A Diamond ring has been lost. We want it. Can you help us?” I said “yes’ because this was the chance to become a detective. My wish was I should get a chance to become a detective and this was my chance. I roamed everywhere in the city, Delhi to find a clue. After few hours I found the first clue, “a glass”. I took a long paper and wrote this
Now 6 clues were left to be found. Then I found a footprint. I wrote this as my second clue. It was getting dark, so i thought that I would find last five clues later. Next morning after school, I changed my dress and set out to find clues. Like this twenty more days went. On the twenty-first day I found enough clues to catch the thief. I went home. I throughly checked the clues that i have gathered, there was nothing of any person. I searched them again. This time in a handkerchief I found something on it. There was written “IF YOU CANNOT FIND WHO HAD ROBBED THE DIAMOND RING IN TWENTY FOUR DAY THEN YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT. HA! HA! HA!” then a picture of a diamond ring.
Then I set out to find him. It was the twenty-third day. I found someone was hiding behind a house. I went infront of the house and also hid there. The thief was trying to escape because the police was after him. I ran after him and caught him red handed. He was Mr. Chakarvorty in disguise. I took him to police officer. He thanked me. I was very happy. I rushed to my house and said to my parents what had happened. They were very proud of me. The next day I said it to my friends, they were very very much excited to hear it. From then everybody started calling me “LITTLE DETECTIVE”.
