TOUGH TIMES IN THE OCEAN
It was a period of time when I found myself in a ship named “Piccadilly Daisy” sailing in the heart of the Atlantic. But that day there was a covering of fog and mist that settled in the atmosphere. Nothing could be seen correctly as the visibility was blurred. Even the navigator did not work that day for it did not receive any signal.
I tried my best to capture the nearby objects but the visibility did not permit me. Not being able to observe anything, I told my crew member John “Hey! I am going to the deck in order to have a clear view of the things. Can you manage here? “. He replied, “Yes, you go ahead”.
Even on reaching the deck, I could not make out anything. Where ever my eye sight went, it was only fog and mist. I then stooped down with half part of my body inclined outside the ship. To my astonishment I could experience some external force acting on me and I fell on the vast ocean.
Outside, the water was freezing due to excessive cold. My body temperature dropped to zero. I felt that my entire blood circulation has stopped.
Many a times I cried out “Help! Help! Help!”
But nobody was there to rescue. I could see the ship to sail by without even noticing my absence and it left me alone combating in such condition.
I faced several challenges to keep afloat in the ocean. The freezing cold water was the biggest challenge. Also I was simply oblivious of the direction because of the unclear visibility. It was extremely difficult to plan my next course of action.
Then suddenly I felt a loud thud and it was like something that hit my head. What I saw was unbelievable, I had fallen from my bed and my mother was shouting “You are getting late for school, wake up.” I thanked god that this was not real. Even if it was something of that sort, wouldn’t it be exciting?
